Privacy notice
Who we are
Botakman Advisory LP is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. For any question about your personal data, contact us at contactbotakman.com.
What we collect
This website has no contact form, no user accounts and no analytics or advertising tools. We only process personal data in two situations:
- When you email us: your name, email address, organisation and any information you choose to include in your message.
- When you visit the website: our hosting provider processes technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. We do not use this data to identify or track you.
Why we use it and on what basis
- To respond to your enquiry and manage our business relationship with you: our legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To keep the website secure and available: our legitimate interests.
We do not use your data for marketing without your consent, we do not sell it and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months. Information relating to clients is kept for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for as long as required to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Google (business email) and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). We do not share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.
International transfers
Our team works from outside the United Kingdom, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authorities.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email contactbotakman.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or with the data protection authority of your country.
We aim to comply with the UK GDPR and, where they apply, other data protection laws such as the EU GDPR and Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising or any other tracking purpose, and does not store any information on your device. Our hosting provider may occasionally set a strictly necessary security cookie, for example to distinguish genuine visitors from automated traffic. Such cookies do not require consent and are not used to track you.
Governing law
This website and this notice are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction over any related dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
